When Will I Receive My Collection Kit?
Once you have placed your order and paid for your test, your Collection Kit will be dispatched within 2-5 working days depending on your location.

When will I receive My Results?
The standard turn around time for our tests is a minimum of 10-14 working days from the date we receive the specimen/s at our laboratory. Please note that some of our tests are sent to overseas laboratories where the standard turn around time is 16-20 working days. We recommend that you schedule your return visit to your practitioner in accordance with these timelines.
How Will I Receive My Results?
Results are delivered to your practitioner by mail. You will only receive a copy if this has been requested on the Practitioner Request Form.
Who will explain my results?
All patients are referred back to their practitioner for interpretation of results. Australian Clinical Labs provides an interpretive service to practitioners only.
What if I forget to collect my specimens at the set times?
You will need to wait and do the test the following day. All specimens must be collected as described in the Collection Kit instructions for each test.
Can I reuse a test tube if I have made an error during collection?
Yes, just wash out the tube well with warm water and begin again.
What if I have completed my test on a weekend?
Store your specimens in the fridge (urine and saliva) or a cool dark place (for stool specimens) and post immediately on Monday or arrange for courier pick up. Note: some specimens need to be frozen on collection. Please check the instructions.
Can I take my Collection Kit to a collection centre for pick up?
No, please return your completed test via the method outlined in the Collection Kit instructions.
I am taking vitamin/mineral supplements. Will this affect the test?
It is not usually necessary to stop taking supplements during a test but this may vary with some tests. Always refer to the test kit instructions and the advice of your practitioner.
If I am on prescribed medication, will it affect the test?
If you routinely take certain medications you should continue to do so during the test, unless instructed otherwise by your practitioner.

When are samples collected?
Samples should be sent or collected from Monday to Wednesday. If unable to send on these days, store as above.
I am taking a vitamin/mineral supplement will this affect the test result?
No. It is not necessary to stop taking supplements unless otherwise stated. If unsure, please contact your referring practitioner or contact Australian Clinical Labs on 1300 554 480.
If I am on prescribed medication will it affect this test?

Who is TOLL?
TOLL is our courier company that comes to collect select test samples. Once you have completed your test and need to send it back to the lab, TOLL is the company you contact in order to organize a date/time and location for sample collection. All the information on how to contact TOLL is with your kit but if you can any questions contact 1300 554 480.
I have kit tests (Stool, Saliva or Urine) and blood tests that my practitioner has ticked on my referral form. Do I send the referral form with my kit test or give it to the collection assistant when I have my blood taken?
Make a photocopy of the referral form that your practitioner has given you. Take the original along with you to have your blood collected and give it to the collection assistant. Send the photocopy along with your kit when you send it back to the lab.
