And at least one of the following:
- Identified as a close contact of a confirmed case
- Identified as related to an outbreak setting
- Travel (international and interstate) since 1/1/20
- Travel on a cruise ship since 1/1/20
No appointment is required for this test.
Patients should arrive to the collection centre with their Medicare card and a pathology request form from their referring doctor addressing the above criteria.

Clinical Labs COVID-19 Testing for Travel (WA)
Many countries are requesting that international travellers complete a COVID-19 PCR and/or Antibody Test before boarding their flight.
Clinical Labs is now offering travellers the ability to purchase COVID-19 tests for travel through our secure web portal (store.clinicallabs.com.au).
These tests are available for asymptomatic travellers only and there is no Medicare rebate available.
Travellers will need to check with their airline as to the requirements of their test. Some countries of destination require results to be certified by a General Practitioner (GP). If travellers require their results to be certified by a GP they will need to allow time after receiving their results in order to do this.
Travellers can order a test by:
- Visiting store.clinicallabs.com.au, create an account, order and pay for their test.
- Travellers are then sent a confirmation email that contains their receipt/referral.
- Print this receipt/referral and take it to a Clinical Labs Travel Collection Centre (see clinicallabs.com.au/travel for locations), along with a form of photo ID (passport or driver’s licence).
- The sample will be processed within 24-48 hours and they will be sent an SMS notification when their result is ready.
- Travellers then log back into store.clinicallabs.com.au where they can download, view and print their result.
