Upgraded Bella Vista Lab Fitted Out with World-Leading Automated Technology
We are pleased to announce that as of April 2019 our Bella Vista Laboratory in NSW is now one of the largest and most comprehensively automated pathology labs in the country, thanks to the fit out of new world-leading automation systems and machinery.
In April of this year the Siemens Atellica® Solution and an Aptio® Automation system were installed in the lab. The new Aptio track brings together centrifugation and storage, next generation Atellica chemistry and immunoassay instruments, new specialised serology analysers, a new haematology line and new coagulation instruments and ESR. All of these are now tracked for the first time. Additionally, the laboratory has added new next generation urinalysis analysers.
This project involved two years of planning and has been a mammoth undertaking involving numerous building works, the decommissioning and commissioning of instrumentation all whilst ensuring our customers
experience an undisrupted service.
Clinical Labs can now offer better service to our referring clinicians, with this new state-of-the-art equipment increasing productivity in the lab by improving utilisation of lab resources, efficiency and processing.
These new systems are the first of their kind in Australia, and in terms of the Aptio track connectivity, certainly one of the first in the world. These investments in new state-of-the-art equipment will support us in delivering market leading technology to empower decision making that saves and improves patients’ lives.
