Dr de Wet is a Clinical Haematologist based in Perth. Her special interests include general haematology and chronic malignant conditions including myeloproliferative neoplasms, myeloma, lymphoma and myelodysplasia with a focus on supportive care and quality of life. She completed her training in South Africa, graduating with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2005. She undertook physician training in Townsville, Queensland followed by subspecialty haematology training in Perth. The Royal Australasian College of Physicians accepted Dr de Wet as a fellow in 2015. In 2016 she became a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. In 2016, Dr de Wet worked as a fellow in palliative care and haematology. She undertook research in myeloma and quality of life assessment and completed a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine. She has a special interest in geriatric haematology.
