Dr Travis Brown obtained his MBBS from the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra. After completing two years as a junior doctor at St Vincent Hospital in Melbourne, he undertook Anatomical Pathology training at Ballarat Base Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital before transferring to General Pathology Specialty training with Healthscope Pathology (now Australian Clinical Labs) in Clayton, Melbourne. Before studying medicine, Travis completed Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Computing degrees at the University of Ballarat and worked for two years in the Global Risk Management Services (Information Technology) department with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Melbourne. He also completed a Bachelor of Science (Medical Sciences) at La Trobe University in Melbourne before entering graduate entry medicine at Canberra. Dr Brown completed General Pathology Specialty training in November 2016 and is currently working in Wayville, Adelaide with Australian Clinical Labs. He enjoys the diversity that general pathology provides working in biochemistry, microbiology, haematology and anatomical pathology. Dr Brown also has a special interest in Information Technology and Pathology Informatics.
