New Lab In South Australia

Australian Clinical Labs to offer South Australians the most technologically advanced pathology laboratory in the State

Clinical Labs is delighted to announce it will relocate its main laboratory operations into the State’s most technologically advanced laboratory in early 2019.

The 2,500 square metre facility will be located very close to the Adelaide Airport business park. It will operate as a national centre of excellence and referral laboratory within Clinical Labs’ network of specialist laboratories in Australia. Being so close to the airport guarantees swift access and connection to other specialist labs when required.

The stunning new lab will feature world-class pathology technology and logistics equipment to greatly improve work practice efficiencies. It will also boast modern staff accommodation, warehousing and 133 car parks for staff and visitors.

Clinical Labs Group CEO and Managing Director, Melinda McGrath said, “I am thrilled to share this news today. This significant investment demonstrates our Board’s long-term commitment to the South Australian community.

“This is a designed-for-purpose facility offering the most technologically advanced diagnostic services in biochemistry, haematology, histopathology, cytology, microbiology and immunology, genetics/molecular biology, and toxicology specialities,” Ms McGrath said.

South Australian State Manager Eric Swayn stated “this business has provided high quality pathology services to South Australian doctors and their patients since 1936. This is a clear demonstration of Clinical Labs’ commitment to our medical community and their patients. It will be a terrific facility for our clients and our staff,” he said.

The property owner, Barwon Partners’ Tom Patrick added: “This project represents a strong investment opportunity for our clients and positions Barwon as a reliable real estate capital partner to its important tenant partners,” he said.

Managing Director of Adelaide-based Leyton Property, Hamish Brown commented: “We are excited to help deliver this critical piece of healthcare infrastructure. As a local developer, we think it’s a great result for our state and particularly for the Airport precinct,” he said.
