Dr Calogero is a dual trained clinical and laboratory haematologist. He has practiced in Perth (currently at Royal Perth Hospital and St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospital) and Melbourne (The Alfred, Monash Medical Centre). He has a broad range of expertise in both malignant and non-malignant haematology, and has special clinical interests in Multiple Myeloma, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and Thrombosis/Haemostasis. His academic interests lay particularly in the teaching of undergraduate health professionals, as well as junior doctors. He is also actively engaged in clinical research, as a primary and sub investigator in a number of clinical trials. Dr Calogero has a sessional appointment with Australian Clinical Labs in Western Australia, and acts as the supervising pathologist for the Midland branch laboratory.
