Diabetes Clinical Evaluation Program

Diabetes: The epidemic of the 21st Century

It is no wonder that diabetes is the fastest growing chronic condition to challenge our health system. According to Diabetes Australia, while 1.2 million Australians have been diagnosed with the illness, around 500,000 still live with un-diagnosed Type 2 diabetes. It is estimated that these numbers may increase to over 2.5 million people living with diabetes in the next 20 years.

In accordance to the national standards by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), and in line with Medicare, people living with diabetes should undergo up to 4 HbA1C tests per year. By taking this important measure, you will promote the general well-being and physical health of your patients, while also increasing their satisfaction. This is exactly where Australian Clinical Labs comes in.

We can help you manage and care for your diabetes patients

At Australian Clinical Labs we understand the difficulties diabetes imposes on Australian health, and our dedicated team of medical specialists is focused on reducing this impact.

In addition, we comprehend that the ongoing management of patient load can be complex, so we offer an innovative and simple online platform to provide you with all of the necessary support to help manage your patients with unparalleled confidence and ease.

The Diabetes Clinical Evaluation Program allows general practitioners, who refer diabetes pathology to Australian Clinical Labs, to closely monitor the health of their patients with ease.

Diabetes Clinical Evaluation Reports are issued monthly to all participants, highlighting your performance against the performance of your peers, while maintaining confidentiality to all clinicians.

Taking part in the action is simple and, to qualify for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, contributors must follow the guidelines of the program.
